Gaming on the Stock Exchange is approaching and things will really happen!

The seventh time will be the chance to expand the gaming knowledge of Gaming on the Stock Exchange. Don’t miss it, because the Internet will reignite on November 16-17.

Gaming on the Stock Exchange is a regular conference launched in 2018, dealing with the most important topics related to gaming and gamedev. Representatives of gaming companies will answer questions about marketing: How to advertise games? What does the cooperation with influencers look like? Did fairs and stationary events survive the pandemic? Among the guests there will be presidents, among others Bloober Team, Creepy Jar, PlayWay and People Can Fly. The live broadcast will be available on the dedicated Facebook page of the event and on the websites of the co-organizers – StockWatch.pl, WSE and Polskigamedev.pl.

Anna Budzyńska, PR Manager of Strict Minds, said:

Promotional budgets for new products are getting higher and more often than the cost of creating the game itself, so it is worth asking questions about this state of affairs. The gathered guests will talk about marketing on all platforms – starting on PC, via PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles, and ending on smartphones.

Gaming on the VII Stock Exchange will be again led by journalists associated with the cycle for years – Mateusz Witczak from Polskigamedev.pl and Paweł Hekman from Polygamy. They will be joined by Dominika Szot – an activist who has been working for years to strengthen the position of women in the gaming industry, and Mariusz Klamra – president of gry-online.pl. The analytical and financial panel will be led, as usual, by Kamil Klinowski – individual investor and economist. Mateusz Witczak said:

Never before has the subject of Gaming on the Stock Exchange been so broad! During the seventh edition, we will consider the difficult cooperation of creators, journalists and marketing specialists, i.e. a relationship that should be symbiotic, not parasitic. With our guests, we will discuss the role of traditional media in the Internet age, we will conduct a debate on promotional and influencing activities, we will persuade marketing directors to examine their conscience, and together with streamers we will look behind the scenes of their work. I hope that on November 16 and 17 we will also meet you, our readers.

Investor chats, which will last until the end of November, are part of the event again. The meeting schedule is available on the event’s website at StockWatch.pl, and the president of the site, Łukasz Konopko, said:

In the age of digital distribution on platforms like Steam, players can choose from thousands of new games every year. In such conditions, even good titles may go unnoticed, and still few Polish studios have a strong IP. Marketing plays a key role, as it will be the leitmotif of the seventh edition of Gaming on the Stock Exchange. As in the previous edition, discussion panels will be accompanied by investor chats, during which management boards will present their results and publishing plans and answer investors’ questions.

The aim of the Gaming on the Stock Exchange series is to educate the investor community about gamedev in Poland. It is an extremely dynamically developing part of the creative sector, which has tripled the employment in recent years (from 4 to 12 thousand employees), and also generates more and more income – according to the report of The Game Industry of Poland, in the previous year it was over PLN 4 billion (EUR 969 million). At the same time, the WSE is a global leader in terms of the number of listed gamedev entities. Dariusz Mejszutowicz, Deputy Director of the Primary Market Department, Warsaw Stock Exchange, comments:

The developers of games on the WSE are exceptional entities – they generate most of their revenues outside the country, and therefore have a thriving marketing team. The dynamic development of the gamedev industry and the growing competition on this market make the promotion of titles and reaching consumers an increasingly important part of the activities of every game developer. At the same time, the interest in the stock exchange among young gamedev teams is not waning – there are over a dozen entities in the queue to enter the WSE, most of which already have extensive marketing and publishing plans.
