On December 1, 2020, the fifth edition of the Gaming conference on the Stock Exchange will take place – again online. The event, organized by Strict Minds in cooperation with the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the editors of Polski Gamedev and StockWatch.pl, will be devoted to the influence of new generation consoles on the world of gaming. The last Tavern took media patronage over the conference.
The fifth edition of the Gaming conference on the Stock Exchange will take place on 1.12 at 15:00. Again, the panelists can be heard online and the main topic will be the new generation of consoles and its impact on Polish game development companies. The conference will be attended by representatives of small and independent studies, the largest Polish companies, stock market analysts and journalists. As in the case of the last editions, the co-organizers are the Stock Exchange, StockWatch.pl and PolskiGamedev.pl. The guests will also include the creators of the first Polish game on new generation consoles – Bloober Team, and the authors of Observer: System Redux.
– The ninth generation of consoles is a lot of opportunities, but also a lot of threats. Budgets swell and, as a result, game prices are rising, the most popular distribution platforms suffer from the defeat of fertility (more and more boldly talks about the “indie apocalypse”), and Sony and Microsoft, i.e. the main playmakers, want to tempt us not only with exclusive titles, but also subscription services. During the fifth Gaming on the Stock Exchange, we will talk about changes: together with representatives of the Polish gamedev we will try to predict them, prepare for them and tame them a bit – comments Mateusz Witczak, editor-in-chief of PolskiGamedev.pl
During the event, issues related to one of the most important events in the entertainment industry in recent years – the premieres of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S will be discussed. The new consoles are a new deal on the gaming market – industry specialists will discuss current trends and, together with stock market analysts, suggest what individual and institutional investors interested in this dynamic market should pay attention to.
There will be four panels during the conference. Three of them will be devoted to the issues of the new generation of consoles and the work of Polish gaming studios. The participation was announced by representatives of companies such as Bloober Team, Starward Industries or Far From Home. The event will end with a meeting with experienced stock market analysts dealing with the gaming market.
