Sony has decided to start a new action – Play At Home. Both players and independent creators cooperating with the Japanese giant will benefit from it.

Sony has announced all the action this week. Its goal is to help customers and partners from the gaming industry get through the quarantine period.

The first stage of Play At Home will be to provide owners of PlayStation 4 consoles with two titles for free – Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey . The games can be downloaded for free, regardless of whether you have an active PS Plus subscription. The offer is limited in time – from April 15th to May 5th. It is not known whether more free titles will appear after this period.

The second step will be to donate $ 10 million to independent game developers working with Sony. Small studios, which often consist of only a few people, do not have the financial resources of the hegemony of the industry. A grant from a Japanese company is intended to help them survive this difficult period.
