Florence Pugh may join the cast of the sequel to Dune , according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actress is currently in the process of negotiations and it is not certain if we will actually see her in this film. However, if that happens, it is now known who she would play. She was offered the role of Princess Irulan, the daughter of the Emperor, who had a significant impact on the development of history in the Dune world .
Pugh wants to read the final version of the script first before deciding to participate in a Denis Villeneuve film, and a few other conditions must be met. One of them is her potential involvement in a biopic about Madonna, where she would play the legend of Pop music. If she gets a role in the second production, her participation in the sequel to Dune will be impossible due to the conflicting shooting dates.
So far, little has been said about the cast of the second Dune . The only thing that is known is that most of the actors we saw in the first film will return. Among them are Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem.
The production is expected to debut in October 2023.
