The cult manga series Rumiko Takahashi Urusei Yatsura will return in another adaptation on the screen. Shogakukan has already officially announced a new production, releasing the first trailer and promotional poster for the hundred years of the first publisher Urusei Yatsura.
The new Urusei Yatsura anime will be adapted from selected stories from the original manga. You can check out the trailer below:

Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura ( JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind ) will direct the new adaptation of David Production’s animation studio production. Yuuko Kakihara is the script writer, Naoyuki Asano is responsible for the character designs, Masaru Yokohama for the musical setting, and Kiyoshi Hirose for editing. We will see many great Japanese actors in the cast: Hiroshi Kamiya (Ataru Moroboshi), Sumire Uesaka (Lum), Maaya Uchida (Shinobu Miyake), Mamoru Miyano (Shutaro Mendo), Wataru Takagi (Cherry), Miyuki Sawashiro (Sakura).
