Netflix has shared the first preview of Spy Kids: Armageddon . This is another return to the series created by Robert Rodriguez. Starring Zachary Levi and Gina Rodriguez.
The first Spy Kids movie was released over 20 years ago and surprised audiences by grossing $112 million. The film stars Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Alexa PenaVega, Daryl Sabara, Alan Cumming, Tony Shalhoub, Teri Hatcher, Cheech Marin and Danny Trejo. In the process, he launched the extremely violent Machete series , with Trejo reprising his character from Spy Kids, but in a completely different way.
The latest installment, Spy Kids: Armageddon , will be the fifth film in the series about kids who take over their parents’ jobs and become secret special agents. Spyglass Entertainment is responsible for the production, Robert Rodriguez will once again be the director, and the title itself will appear on the Netflix platform .
