Adventure Time , despite its fan base, hasn’t gotten a new Finn and Jake story in five years. As a consolation we will get a story about alternative heroes!
The trailer published by Cartoon Network on Twitter shows us a slightly different world than we know from the ten seasons of Adventure Time . How different it is – we don’t know yet, we don’t even know how Fionna and her cat Cake are related to Finn and Jake. But we know that the animation is similar and the characters of the main characters also do not differ from the originals.
The creators are well aware of the aging demographic of fans of the series – after all, the broadcast began in 2010, so the people who watched it then are at least twenty years old. This is where the screenwriters excel, promising that the stories will be more mature and suitable for older audiences.
The question remains whether the series will live up to the original and the ideas gathered over these five years will allow the creation of a second such recognizable story, or whether it will be based on the success of its predecessor. Whatever it is, it’s worth seeing – we’ll be able to see it on the Max streaming service on August 31 .
