Final battle! – review of the comic book “Towards your eternity”, bars 10-12

Yoshitoki Oima has created an extremely fascinating and colorful world, filled with intriguing heroes. Will the next volumes of this series maintain an equally high level?

Siege of Renril

Volumes 10-12 not only focus on the great battle of the knockers for the city of Renril, but also provide a kind of closure to the whole. For this reason, I have read it with great interest. In fact, I did not expect Yoshitoki Oima to give such momentum to the battle scenes. Not only was a lot of space devoted to intensive preparations for the great battle, but also the entire siege was extended into two volumes. For this reason, I can say at the outset that it is worth buying three parts at once, because you can read them in the same breath. The fight is extremely effective, and all this is due to the knockers. They are countless and have unimaginable possibilities. They can create powerful siege machines in no time, as well as take control of the city’s defenders.

Three immortals

In addition to the main character, six more characters played an important role in the Battle of Renril. Isia, a girl from the Ceramiak people, aroused my interest in the previous part. After all, the idea for some other civilization to communicate with each other by means of pots is very unusual and intriguing at the same time. Messar, Hairo, Kai are the next allies of Niesia attracted by Baron Bonchien. But amazingly, likewise, they are immortal like the protagonist! Kahaku, on the other hand, is a person with a complicated nature. He has a real affection for Carries, and at the same time he does not like his companions, in addition, a knocker has settled in the hands of Kahaku. For this reason, he is both an invaluable support in combat and an extremely insecure ally. Many colorful episodic characters appeared in these three volumes.

Spectacular clashes

Yoshitoka Oima ‘s line looks great. The author cares about details and the fight scenes look epic. In other words, I don’t really have. what is there to praise even more, and even more to complain about it. Yoshitoki Oima maintains the same level as in the earlier volumes. I could only fault one typo. Moreover, in my opinion, the cover of volume 11 does not fit the content it contains at all. After all, the heart of this volume is the Siege of Renril.

Is it worth following him to the future?

I must admit that the siege of Renril was spectacular. Two volumes filled with clashes with knockers. I liked it very much, the more that both the enemies and Niesio used unusual moves in the fight. The ending of this episode raised some doubts in me, but it was a perfect ending to this part of Niesie’s adventures. After this epic story, I have an even bigger appetite for the sequel! In addition, the action will move to modern times! Yoshitoki Oima just has tons of great ideas! After reading volumes 7-9, I was concerned that my form might decline, meanwhile my fears were unfounded. I have no doubts that the author of Towards Your Eternity will surprise me more than once!
