Film Music Concert dedicated to the work of Hans Zimmer.

On November 19, at COS Torwar in Warsaw, the Polish Radio Orchestra and the Academic Choir of the Warsaw University of Technology, conducted by Maciej Sztor, will perform a Film Music Concert devoted to the work of one of the most famous film music composers in history.

Original orchestral suites will be presented during the concert in Warsaw, incl. from such cinema hits as: “Gladiator”, “Inception”, “Interstellar”, “Batman Trilogy”, “Fortress” and “Pirates of the Caribbean”. A specially selected original repertoire will allow you to appreciate the stylistic richness and talent of one of the most outstanding contemporary composers of film music.

Hans Zimmer is undoubtedly one of the most famous film music composers. He has created soundtracks for over 150 images – from blockbuster blockbusters, through series and documentaries to niche projects. The masterful ability to illustrate a picture with a wide spectrum of musical colors is the showcase of the German composer, who was the first in the history of cinema to achieve the status of an international star.

A breakthrough in Zimmer’s career as a composer was the phenomenal musical setting for the iconic Disney animated film “The Lion King”. After this success, commissions flooded avalanche, including music for Tony Scott’s “Crimson Tide” or the sensational thriller “Fortress” dir. Michael Bay. The music to Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” was extremely moving. The soundtrack album from this film remained on the world’s bestseller list for many months. The soundtracks to the films “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Pearl Harbor”, “The Last Samurai” or “The Da Vinci Code” enjoyed no less popularity. Just as the soundtracks to “Inception” and the “Batman” trilogy were characterized by strongly exposed percussion and experimental musical action, the music to “Interstellar” was surprisingly subtle.

The concert will be made more attractive by specially selected film fragments displayed on the cinema screen, and the light illumination will complete the visual perception of the event.
