In the beginning there was Szerń. It took over the world and breathed intelligence into three species: humans,
cats, and vultures. And then Aler came from the Universe and created his own sentient beings. The war of powers began and continues to this day.
Armectan legionaries have stood guard for hundreds of years and shed their blood to block the Aler’s beasts’ path deep into the continent. They relentlessly stay in the snow-strewn hostels, go on patrols, some of which will never return. However, a time of change is coming. A time when the sacrifice, determination and death of hundreds are no longer enough to keep hundreds of thousands safe. The Time of Shift is coming and a battle they will not hear about at the Courts of the Serie. Because there will be no one to tell about it.

Feliks W. Kres
Born on June 1, 1966 in Łódź. He made his debut in 1983 with the short story Mag, submitted to the competition of the Fantastyka monthly .
Since then, he has published dozens of short stories and 13 longer forms, gaining a devoted group of faithful admirers.
Readers fell in love with his stories and novels about Sheer, but before he finished the Book of the Whole, the author announced in 2010 that he would be suspending indefinitely.
It was a long vacation, but it has just ended and in 2021 the author will return with two completely new books that will close the cycle and the Book of the Whole will finally become complete!
