The author first published his work in the Fantastyka magazine in the 1980s. The story Mag quickly gained a lot of fans, but the greatest popularity was gained thanks to the series: The Book of Whole and the United Kingdom .
In 2011, Feliks W. Kres saddened fans with the information that he was giving up writing. Six years later it turned out to be just a long hiatus. Over the past two years, the Book of the Whole has been reissued with new volumes under the patronage of the Last Tavern. Unfortunately, we will not read new titles anymore.
The publishing house on its FB profile provided the sad information:
There are no right words to convey this information. After a fierce fight with the disease, Feliks W. Kres passed away. End, you have left behind a void that we cannot yet grasp. Questions that we will never know the answers to. Thoughts that we will not share with you anymore. Now, however, above all, we are wholeheartedly with your wife and loved ones.
After a fierce fight with the disease, Witold Chmielecki left us, writing under the pseudonym Feliks W. Kres. He quit too early, the moment he triumphantly resumed writing. He left us in incomprehension and regret. Us who were lucky to work with Him. Readers who have been accompanying him on his creative path for years and those who have only now learned his stories. There will be no more stories. Silence remained.
