We love animated series for their remarkable plot, extraordinary characters and good humor. However, what we often remember the most is the intro. The catchy track that opens each episode is catchy and accompanies us for years. We present the favorite openings of the editors of The Last Tavern.
Batman: The Animated Series
This series is featured in the rankings of the best screen versions of Batman’s adventures many times, and for good reason. This is an extremely successful production, to which we owe, among others, the already iconic roles of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and the Joker (so much so that both actors returned in their roles in the Batman: Arkham series of games ). The opening theme of the show is also great.
In less than a minute, the creators managed to present the general atmosphere of the animation. From the very first seconds, the evocative vision of Gotham City is clearly visible, inspired by the clearly fresh then version of Tim Burton (oh, those airships!), But with a clear admixture of noir aesthetics . Then a wonderfully grotesque Batmobile appears, going to the crime scene, and a moment later the main character. Batman is presented as a night hunter, bathed in shadows, like a ghost whose two caprices cannot even touch, and a moment after defeating them, disappears like a ghost. Sounds like the perfect essence of a character, and it actually is. – Krzysztof Olszamowski
