Another sprinter and his comics
Each of the two stories included in the composite volume is exciting and action-packed, embracing Sonic’s tour of the area after defeating Dr. Eggman again in the final battle. As he moves from town to town, he teams up with one of his classic allies every time to clear the hordes of Eggman’s robots that still roam the world! Tails and Amy Rose appear in these comics. While Eggman has not been seen since his defeat, Sonic and his friends begin to speculate that the Eggman Empire is not as pointless as it may seem, and that something or some crafty person is pulling the strings from the shadows.
With a focus on action and strong character build, the Turning Point! brings Ian Flynn’s signature style back to the world of Sonic. This volume has something for Sonic fans of all ages with a dynamic, accessible story, yet characters and interactions that have depth and ramifications. Flynn’s encyclopedic lore and seemingly secret mastery of Sonic ‘s tidbits are evident throughout the text as die-hard fans of the game will discover the numerous easter eggs and references scattered throughout the book.
Likewise, each issue is illustrated by a different Sonic comic book veteran . They are: Tracy Yardley !, Adam Bryce Thomas, Jen Hernandez and Evan Stanley, as evidenced by the mix of styles that appear on the frames.
Let’s start with the release
As the Amber publishing house is trying to enter the Polish comic book market, I am also trying to analyze their publishing approach. Overseas Sonic the Hedgehog Vol. 1: Fallout! collects the first four issues of the series in a solid paperback and is the first arc of a volume of new adventures of the blue hedgehog. It is an excellent starting point for those interested in this comic book collection. It’s worth adding that we can already get it for $ 15.99, which is roughly the same as buying 4 single numbers. It is a bit different in the Polish edition. We only get the first two numbers. Yes, Amber publishing housesplits and will release even more volumes. It is true that we get them in a hard cover, but the lack of it would probably reduce the price of the issue from almost PLN 50 to PLN 40. In addition, we find almost 70 pages, which is not very much. Well, the release ratio to the Polish market, where Egmont raised the bar, is not very adequate, however, what awaits us inside is worth our attention.
Quite an interesting start to a new adventure
The comic book I’m reviewing is the beginning of a new era of Sonic’s adventures. With a full roster of veterans of his games, along with a handful of talented newbies waiting for us in the new volumes, we want to dig deeper into these stories. If you consider yourself a Sonic fan, it’s time to check out this comic! I hope to see similar titles and games related to such adventures in the future. I would also like the publishing form to be improved.
