The Avengers group doesn’t have an easy life. Immediately after defeating the alien invaders led by Malekith, he must go to the abyss and face the demons. And it all starts with Robbie Reyes, the current Ghost Rider, wanting to ditch his powers and return to his normal life. During the exorcism, however, he ends up in the afterlife, where he meets another rider, the current ruler of Hell, Johnny Blaze, and makes a deal with him. Both are about to enter a race whose stake is, of course, Reyes’ soul! Meanwhile, another version of Ghost Rider shows up at the Avengers’ HQ, and Tony Stark makes an extraordinary archaeological discovery. How will it all end?
What is Robbie doing?
Jason Aaron continues the Avengers storyline . As with the previous parts, it is not closely related to the previous volumes, and yet it is difficult to start reading the series from this moment. Previous albums explained to us, among others, why the band is inside a dead Celestian or why Thor has a metal hand. The general scenario this time focuses on Ghost Rider, who has been Robbie Reyes for some time now. This character is clearly important to the author, because also in the previous parts he was given a lot of space and had an important role to play. This time he has to face in a race through Hell with Johnny Blaze himself. And you have to admit that these struggles are really exciting! Full of twists and tricks, they will captivate not only fans of Formula 1 orNeed for Speed , but also people who are not necessarily passionate about this type of competition. It will get even more interesting when more players enter the game! In addition, at the end we get a small addition showing us how Robbie became a soul hunter in the first place.
In addition to the main plot, there is also room for other superheroes in Ghost Rider Race , who quite unexpectedly take part in exorcisms and then fight with Cosmic Ghost Rider! All in all, he is not needed and does not contribute much to the plot, but on the other hand, he looks spectacular, gives Thor, Captain America and the rest of the team a chance to prove themselves and is totally “superhero”, so fans get what they expect from the Marvel series. There is also a pinch of humor in all this, especially when Daimon Hellstorm appears on the scene. On the other hand – isn’t there too much action here? Sometimes it’s also worth slowing down and giving both heroes and readers a breather.
It is worth noting that the time-traveling Tony Stark theme is also touched upon again, but only a veil of secrecy is revealed again and we can expect that we will get more in the next issues. Thus, our curiosity is aroused and we will probably more willingly reach for the next albums.

For the artwork for the Avengers volume. The race of ghost riders corresponds to Stefano Caselli, an artist whose works you could see, among others in the Avengers series. Time is running out . Needless to say, he did a great job. There is no shortage of dynamism in the frames, which, after all, is fueled by the entire fifth volume. He also shows us his vision of Hell very well. It’s fiery, dark, and terrifying. Also the race itself looks great and you can almost hear the roar of the hellfire machines. It is also difficult to comment on the knitters themselves.
As I mentioned in the comic there is a ten-page supplement from the All-New Ghost Rider series . The author is Tradd Moore, who also deserves a few warm words. His line is extremely effective and brings to mind new cartoons. It’s worth seeing for yourself.
I don’t go to heaven…
The fifth Avengers volume released in the Marvel Fresh series will certainly appeal to Ghost Rider fans the most (because there are many of them here, after all). The title team itself also has a role to play, but much smaller than the soul hunters. The plot can be captivating, although at times it is simply overloaded with action and there is no story that does not focus on constant fights. The author makes an outline in the background, but the reader will have to wait for the development. The graphic side, however, is extremely aesthetic, and the addition may be of interest to us. Ultimately, I conclude that it is worth taking part in the Race of the Ghost Riders .
