Fantastic Beasts poor results and series reboot

All indications are that producers are increasingly discussing the topic of a complete reset of the series. Are Harry Potter fans in for a reboot of Wizarding World movies?

Fantastic Beasts Production  was marked by many obstacles almost from the very beginning. In addition to the controversy surrounding the author, JK Rowling, whose popularity has dropped significantly in recent years, work on the set was also hampered by the pandemic. Filming for the film had to be discontinued and the premiere was delayed. The problems of the series also include Johnny Depp’s removal from the cast due to – as we already know – false accusations of abuse of Amber Heard’s ex-wife. So it’s no surprise that manufacturers are considering a complete reboot of the series.

The film had a hard time, and an extension of the Harry Potter phenomenon seems less and less likely. All this translated directly into the results, resulting in a drop in revenues by as much as 67% within a week of the premiere. Although there are numerous voices that it would be best to let go, appreciating the magical atmosphere of the original series, the producers have different plans for the universe.

The poor results of Dumbledore’s Secrets are said to be an excuse to reboot the entire Wizarding World movie series. David Zaslav, who currently serves as the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery also plans to bring the wizarding world as a series to the HBO Max platform. After the departure of the boss of Warner Bros. Pictures, Toby Emmerich, TheWrap reports that Zaslav will have an impact on some of the studio’s key departments, including the possibility of a complete Harry Potter reset . Regardless of the quality of any possible productions, a reboot of the Wizarding World movie franchise would surely raise a lot. controversy.
