This is not the end of Ewan McGregor’s adventures with Star Wars . Andor adds the actor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, who will re-star opposite Hayden Christensen.
According to a new report by The Illuminerdi , Ewan McGregor will recreate his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi from his own Star Wars series . McGregor will have a recurring role in Andorra , giving fans even more adventures involving the Jedi Master. Both Andor and Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi are filmed this year, and it looks like the actor will be involved in both projects at the same time. Andor is currently in production and is set to finish shooting this summer, with Obi-Wan Kenobi starting work this month.
Andor is likely to come out on Disney + ahead of Obi-Wan Kenobi , possibly creating McGregor’s own series for the streaming service. In this series, Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Darth Vader, and both he and McGregor will appear in the Star Wars franchise for the first time since Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith . The series will also feature actress from Game of Thrones , Indira Varma , about whom we wrote recently. McGregor is excited to be back in the series as a Jedi Master. Here’s what McGregor had to say in a recent interview with Empire :
I’m more excited about making this movie than the second and third we’ve done before. I’m just excited to work with Deborah Chow ( Obi-Wan Kenobi’s director ) and the story is going to be really good I think. I’m just excited to be able to play this character again. It’s been enough time since I’ve played it before.
Star Wars: Andor and Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi are yet to be released on Disney +. We will keep you updated on all the news.
