The juggler closes the threads from the previous parts of the Tales from the Multiverse series, and the heroes have to face a huge threat.
Armageddon is coming
Once again, Wrocław becomes the host of all kinds of characters known from legends and stories. The star system and the leap year that accompanied the greatest conflicts in history are inevitably approaching. The barriers that separate the worlds are gradually being destroyed, and the balance between them is more and more unstable. This presents a good opportunity for all kinds of demons, nightmares and curse-bearers to enter the realm of the living. Weakened angels must rely on human help to prevent a catastrophe. Jasna, Anastasia and Nina, known in previous volumes, will have to learn to work together to save the world from destruction. It will not be easy, because each of them is completely different, has specific goals and desires, and lives according to its own rules. It will soon become clear that the world cannot be saved without sacrifice.
What is good and what is bad
Through the whole trilogy, Anna Sokalska presented us with a reality full of contradictions that she was able to combine into a coherent, logical whole. History and the present, old beliefs and figures out of this world came together to create a complete picture of the Multiverse. Each book in the series has its own characteristic elements. In the case of Witches were custom threads, Victim seemed causing chills crime. In Kuglarz while the author deals with what is bad that can arise from interpersonal relations. The intertwined Slavic mythology and Christian beliefs provide the backdrop for this action-packed novel. In addition, reading repeatedly raises questions about good and bad behavior and allows us to reflect on how much we are able to do and how much to sacrifice to satisfy our desires. Of course, the female characters, whom we have already met before, play a significant role in the plot, i.e. the witch Jasna from another era, Anastasia, marked by the Slavic god of wealth, and the bane of Nina. The meeting of all these characters makes them able to work together for the common good, finding the strength needed to stop the impending cataclysm.
Summary
The Juggler is a satisfactory conclusion to the threads started by the previous parts. The main characters show a different approach to life, but meeting in the face of the upcoming Armageddon, they try to prevent it, finding answers to many questions on the way. For those familiar with Jasna’s, Anastasia and Nina’s earlier fates, this is a must-read. I recommendreaders who are not familiar with the series Tales from the Multiverse with a clear conscience.
