Eternals: The 500-Year War tells the story of the struggle of immortal defenders of humanity against mutant deviants. Over the centuries, the heroes found themselves in many different locations. The action from each of the seven numbers will take place in a different place. Eternals will be located in Brazil, China, South Korea, France, Japan, UK and Spain. Readers will have a chance to see how immortals will find themselves in the cultures they visit.
The production of each of the 7 parts belonged to a team of creators from the country where the action takes place. The comic was created by writers Dan Abnett, Aki Yanagi, Jongmin Shin, Ju-Yeon Park, David Macho, Rafael Scavone, Yifan Jiang, and artists Geoffo, Rickie Yagawa, Do Gyun Kim, Magda Price, Marcio Fiorito and Gunji, among others. Matt Milla, Carlos Macias, Fernando Sifuentes, Pete Pantazis and Felipe Sobreiro took care of the color.
With the help of Eternals , Marvel wants to go out into broad, international and miwoda. Eternals: The 500-Year War gives locally known creators a chance to become more internationally recognized, but also allows them to tell a story consistent with the culture, tradition and history of a given country. CB Cebulski, Marvel’s editor-in-chief said:
The introduction of Eternals: The 500-Year War to Marvel Unlimited has enabled our international creative teams to tell a much more personal story by locating the action of the series in their home countries. These stories break boundaries and provide entertainment beyond anything fans can imagine through their diverse, multicultural heroes.
