Disney + has started work on Eragon ‘s reboot – this time the Dragon Rider will return to us in the series. For fans of Christopher Paolini’s book, it is certainly good news, as the author himself takes part in the project as one of the showrunners and screenwriter.
When the Disney + platform was launched, Eragon fans launched an online campaign called #EragonRemake . Christopher Paolini thanked them on his Twitter account for making another adaptation of his novel possible:
Eragon is the first part of the Heritage series . It is about a boy named Eragon who finds a dragon egg. A dragon hatches from the egg, and the title character becomes the first Dragon Rider in years. The novel had its first adaptation in 2006, but was met with a lot of criticism from reviewers, but also from fans of the series. Thus, readers waited forever for the news of the next screen adaptation.
It’s not the only reboot Disney + is currently working on – the studio is also producing Percy Jackson and the Olympians. We don’t know the release date of any of them yet.
