Eat it, Fat Man! – review of the comic book “Garfield. The Fat Cat’s Three-Pack ”vol. 8

In the next volume of Garfield’s adventures, you will be convinced that the main purpose of the life (existence?) Of the American cat is consumption (food?). No matter what, as long as you grind … a steak with whipped cream, a donut or a donut, or maybe dog food? You can read about all these cat treats in the latest volume.

Garfield by weight : Cats like to explore their territory

I don’t know if you know, but Garfield’s facial expressions don’t change depending on external factors. Satisfied, sad, “contrite in heart, but anxiously meditating” or a hungry cat seems completely the same. If it weren’t for the sounds coming from my belly… Burrk! Hungry Garfield may not be noticed when he collapses in the chair, but you will certainly hear the familiar sound. In the first part of Volume Eight, Garfield. Fat Cat’s Three-PackAmerica’s favorite cat interacts with various heroes: not necessarily positive-minded dogs, house mice and neighbor birds. The source of the conflict is, of course, the relative dominance of Jon’s home and garden (including not overworking). PS In this part, the owner of Garfield wonders for the first time how it happened that he grew his… gut. The comparison with the redhead undoubtedly comforts him. Already at the beginning of the album we realize that cat’s humor is universal and despite the passage of time we laugh at comic jokes just as intensely.

Garfield supports the chins : Welcome to the Animal Channel

Amazingly, all the signs in heaven and earth indicate that Garfield has lost weight. We might even presume that Jon’s diet works wonders were it not for the yo-yo effecthas a special application here – the situation in which the animal fat man notices his feet (and toes, horror of horrors!) is unique, but necessary to take into account when discussing the volume. In the second part of the series, Garfield still does not shy away from the company of “friends” from the neighborhood, organizing them regular concerts on the fence. He also draws Odie into his game, who is an informal understudy for the cat. While the title character indulges in consumption, its owner goes on dates. The attractive lady vet is not delighted with Jon’s further excesses, especially since this time he is asked to leave an elegant restaurant (the reason is inappropriate outfit – surprised?). It is worth emphasizing once again that Jim Davis’ jokes do not get old, perhaps because the situations described are taken, as it were, from our human life: crisis in the morning,

Garfield Being Spanked : Self-control is a noble trait

According to Garfield’s concept, it’s better to have a cat than a dog. The reasons listed at the beginning of the third part of the volume include: the cat’s driving skills, the lack of (romantic) interest in your leg, and the protection of the garden from intrusive birds. While watching the album, in some frames we can see that Garfield is a bit smaller, as I mentioned earlier. The lost calories, however, the redhead regularly replenishes, e.g. by combining breakfast with dinner and eating everything during one meal. The frames in which Garfield teases Odie are very characteristic for the last part of the album – the dog is naively chasing a ball thrown by a cat, lands on its back many times and is regularly, for no reason, thrown from the cupboard. In this part you will not find a forgiving Garfield,

No limits – we laugh!

Waiting for the next volume of Fat Cat Three-Packs was prolonged, but – fortunately – the handsome eight is now available in bookstores! The aesthetics of performance proves the quality of the publication, proportional to the price of the album. However, you should know that we still have many volumes in this series, because the twenty-third is about to appear abroad! In this album, we have many occasions to celebrate and consume – Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year and the long-awaited, longed-for birthday of the redhead, all in a climate of cynicism, sarcasm and irony.
