The news has already been confirmed by the organizers from the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Both the traditional format and the online version of the event were canceled. The reason for this decision was the health risk to participants and exhibitors caused by COVID-19. At the same time, ESA has promised the return of E3 next year.
Coronavirus has again canceled plans for a major event. This is a scenario that has repeated itself since the outbreak of the pandemic more than two years ago. So far, the organizers of E3 have tried to partially save the fair by creating an online version, which was limited mainly to announcements of new games. Unfortunately, these events did not enjoy a sufficiently large interest. In addition, various publishers and creators preferred to prepare their own mini-events broadcast on YouTube or Twitch.
The Electronic Entetainment Expo, better known as E3, has so far been held annually since 1995. The Los Angeles Convention Center is almost always home to this spring / summer trade show. Whether the most famous event in the gaming world actually returns remains to be found next year.
