The aim of the collection is to publish the original system about Dragon Riders in print , based on the well-known and award-winning mechanics of the Year Zero Engine. The game is about daring, sky-high fights and decisions that determine the fate of entire kingdoms.

The production uses the popular and appreciated Year Zero Engine mechanics by Free League, known for games such as Mutant Year Zero, Alien , Coriolis, Loop Secrets, Forbidden Lands or Vaesen . The mechanics have been adapted to the needs of the system to reflect the epic convention and uniqueness of the bond between man and dragon.

System assumptions:
- Emphasis on the epic convention and agency of the characters. The heroes of the players, as the Chosen of the dragon-god, have a high position at the very beginning and a huge impact on the reality in fiction.
- Affordable mechanic. The Year Zero Engine is a flexible mechanics with a low threshold of entry, the different versions of which are very famous in the erpeg environment.
- Fast, daring combat scenes with surprising opponents. Mechanisms boosting the momentum and scale of the clash.
- Each player creates two characters – his hero and the dragon with whom he will connect with a Bind. The price for a bond is the most important element of the Dragon Rider’s personality. It will first be magnified and then lost.
- The ability to customize the shape of the world by using ready-made modules or adding your own ideas for lands in accordance with the presented tools.
The originator and main author of the system is Paweł Skała Jurgiel. Other members of Lans Macabre are also strongly involved in the project, mainly Airis Kamińska, Zbigniew Zych and Bartłomiej Fabiszewski.
