The new adaptation of Frank Herbert's story is getting closer. The production-related marketing campaign is slowly starting. Its fruits are the logo of the painting and the first photo of the main character.
The new Dune logo is kept in a minimalist form. All the letters are exactly the same shape and the background is an image of a solar eclipse. I wonder how it will be or will be transformed for the film distribution in Poland.
In turn, in the published photo, for the first time we can see how Timothee Chalamet presents himself as Paul Atryda. The scenery in which the character is located is certainly interesting. Instead of the deserts that the planet Arakis is known for, we see the main character walking on the beach.
The latest interpretation of Herbert’s prose will be transferred to the screens by Denis Villenueve ( Arrival , Blade Runner 2049 ). In addition to the already mentioned Chalamet, the cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Stephen Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem. Dune is to hit theaters on December 18 this year.
