The long-announced sequel to Hokus Pokus will premiere around Halloween and will be available on Disney + . Before this happens, we can watch the trailer which focuses on a few young girls starting the ritual of bringing in the Sanderson sisters. The trailer doesn’t suggest a too heavy plot, but instead makes us nostalgic.
In the first film, Dani, along with his older brother Max and his girlfriend Allison, inadvertently lit a Black Flame Candle and resurrected the three witches, allowing them to try to capture the souls of young children, which would give them eternal life. The latest information shows that the sequel is to have a similar story. The Sanderson sisters return to Salem after 29 years to wreak havoc and chaos in the city again. The director of the film, Anne Fletcher, said in an interview that:
I am so excited to be part of the production of the sequel to the movie that viewers like so much. Fans around the world have come to love these characters and have made the movie a Halloween tradition. Its popularity continues to grow. I’m glad he’s back at Disney, along with three incredibly talented actresses in iconic roles!
Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najima return to the roles mentioned by the creator. In addition, Hocus Pocus 2 features Doug Jones, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belisa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham and Tony Hale.
