Star Wars: Ahsoka is coming to Disney+ next month! Fans have been demanding that the story of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) be continued in a live-action version.
Disney has unveiled new featurettes for its upcoming live-action series Ahsoka in the Star Wars universe . The spin-off features a former Jedi Padawan first created in the Clone Wars animated series . Now, the developers intend to bring the character to life on screen to explore the depth of her backstory, and to continue her first live-action appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2 . Rosario Dawson plays Ahsoka Tano, a former apprentice of Anakin Skywalker. Savannah Steyn will play the younger version of the heroine. The full cast also includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Hayden Christensen, Eman Esfandi, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson.
How many episodes will Star Wars: Ahsoka have?
As already confirmed by Disney+, Star Wars: Ahsoka will consist of eight episodes. Episodes are also expected to be slightly longer than sister series Star Wars: The Mandalorian .

Fan-favorite Star Wars heroine Ahsoka Tano returns in an all-new series on Disney+. The series picks up after the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett . Ahsoka will join her new mission alongside longtime allies Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) as they attempt to track down Thrawn, who was last seen disappearing into the far reaches of space after a confrontation with Ezra Bridgera (Eman Esfandi) . Star Wars: Ahsoka is the latest live-action series from Lucasfilm creative duo Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Star Wars: Ahsoka is set to debut on Disney+ on August 23.
