Disney continues its fun with remakes of children’s classics. Pinocchio is treading on the heels of Aladdin , Mulan and the Lion King , retelling the famous story in the form of an actor’s film. The project is handled by the legendary Robert Zameckis, director of, among others Forrest Gump or Kontakt .
Pinocchio is approaching us with great strides. Therefore, Disney has released another trailer for the production of Robert Zameckis. In the film, in addition to Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who plays the title character, we will see stars such as Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo, Luke Evans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Keegan-Michael Key.

The final product will appear on the Disney + streaming platform, without a cinema premiere. It has already happened with the actor’s remake of The Mutt in Love or Pixar’s projects such as To nie wypanda and Luca .
Disney’s Pinocchio is not to be confused with the one from Guillermo del Toro, also due out this year.
The Disney version has been in development for almost a decade as the studio first expressed interest in making a movie in April 2015. It was then that Sam Mendes started talks to direct it, but eventually left the project in November 2017. Zemeckis entered the negotiations in October 2019 and things started to fall into place from there.
The premiere of Pinocchio will take place on September 8.
