More than a year after the announcement, Destiny 2 players will finally see information about a new expansion to the title – The Witch Queen. Yesterday, Bungie announced a new presentation of the game, which will take place at the end of August.
Bungie announced its intentions to fans via the official Destiny Twitter account. According to the entry, the presentation of The Witch Queen can be expected in just over a month, on August 24.
Although the name of the add-on was not mentioned in a word, the announcement was accompanied by a logo that had previously been used to promote this extension, which players understand clearly. The slogan “Survive the truth” was visible on the tweet, however, less understandable and intriguing. What could it mean?
We heard about the expansion for the first time during the announcement of Beyond Light . Originally, The Witch Queen was due to be released later this year, but a few months ago, in February, it became clear that the expansion would not be making its debut until early 2022. Announcing the delay, Bungie explained to its fans why this “difficult but important decision” was made:
While working on The Witch Queen, we realized it would be the first of many key elements to Destiny’s storyline. Since so much leads to and depends on the events of this expansion pack, we wanted to make sure we spent enough time creating this adventure the right way, starting with the exclusive first chapter of The Witch Queen.
The Witch Queen will be presented on August 24, although it is not known yet where and at what time. Probably the new expansion for Destiny 2 will be seen on the game ‘s official YouTube channel and Bungie’s Twitch , but it will undoubtedly be clarified soon. However, the potential release date of the expansion has not been announced.
