It’s been nearly three decades since Wreck-It Man had its cinema premiere. It seemed that this one production would be the beginning and the end of the story of John Spartan. Recently, however, the actor of this role announced a new version of the hero’s adventures.
Sylvester Stallone recently answered fan questions via his Instagram account. One of them asked about the future of the Wrecked Man and probably got a rather unexpected answer. The popular “Sly” said that not only is there a chance for new films, but that work is already underway on it. Stallone is collaborating on it with people at Warner Bros. and as he said himself, the project looks fantastic so far.
Demolition Man made his cinematic debut in 1993. It told the story of a policeman John Spartan, who was put in an unusual prison for his destructive methods of fighting crime. Together with the last captured criminal – Simon Phoenix (played by Wesley Snipes) – they go to a special facility where they are subjected to cryogenic hibernation. After more than thirty years, they both wake up in a world where, after numerous conflicts, there is finally peace and crime has been eradicated.
The production was full of action and humor. One of the most famous scenes from this movie is of course the one with the three seashells. In the age of the Internet, it has even become a meme.
It is not yet known when the sequel to the Demolition Man will debut in theaters.
