Originally created as the arch-enemy of the Young Titans, Deathstroke has also made a name for himself as a worthy opponent for members of the Justice League since his debut. Slade Wilson has grown in popularity since he started appearing on the big and small screens as well as in games. Soon we will be able to watch a new animated film about this dangerous mercenary.
Deathstroke Knights & Dragons: The Movie is a film version of the series that debuted in January this year on the CW Seed platform. However, it will not be just a production assembled from episodes. According to an announcement from the IGN website, the total duration is 87 minutes, 50 of which are completely new material. You can watch the trailer of the picture below.
The production will focus on the title mercenary, whom the criminal organization HIVE is trying to blackmail. The villains kidnapped the son of the main character – Joe also known under the pseudonym Jericho – to force Slade to join them. Of course, Deathstroke does not allow himself to be intimidated and starts the fight with HIVE. Despite his abilities, he is not able to save his child alone. He will be assisted in this mission by his wife – Adeline “Addie” Kane Wilson.
Deathstroke Knights & Dragons: The Movie will be WB Animation’s most action-packed film. The production received the R age category (i.e. intended only for adult viewers). The picture will debut this summer in digital distribution and on Blu-Ray.
