Simply put, please pass it on! is a drawn version of a deaf phone - one of the most popular childhood games, but it got bored very quickly. In its enhanced form, it is a great party game, combining elements known from puns and requiring players to let their imaginations run wild ... because not everyone has a talent for painting. And the more players the better!
Halo halo? What is this?
Pass it on! is a multiplayer game for four to eight players. I admit that the current situation (distancing myself due to the virus) forced me and my teammates to be more creative and we managed to play both 4 and 3 players (and with great pleasure!). However, the more people, the better and longer the fun: more interesting interactions, remembering passwords and lots of laughter. The box includes a clear instruction, 8 sketchbooks (including felt-tip pens and eraser cloths), an hourglass for measuring time, a cube that allows us to choose a password and a clue of the game: double-sided password cards, 6 on each side, giving us over 1700 combinations . We can come across trivial slogans, such as a bicycle, but also much more complicated ones: a climbing wall. There are many possibilities.
So we call … er, we draw!
The gameplay is fast and simple. After throwing the dice, the players draw the card and write down the password from the randomly drawn number (secretly from the others). Each person starts drawing them simultaneously until the hourglass says enough! Then the players pass each other sketchbooks, opened on the picture just drawn, and guess what it is by writing their shots on the next card. In the next round, the players pass the notebooks again and this time they draw the password they see. And so on and on until all the sketchbooks go to their owners. If the last and first pictures in the notebook are the same, it means that the players guessed all the passwords correctly. However, it is much more interesting if something breaks down along the way and not everything goes perfectly. Manufacturer Please pass it on! it seems that he predicted the resulting different ways of competing: you can score the accuracy of slogans and truly compete, or you can bet on a creative approach to the topic and award points for the worst, completely missed, but thus the most beautiful shot.
The only objection I have is that the passwords are too difficult and the lack of information about the possibility of using synonyms. However, you can add these rules yourself at the beginning of the game and agree that, for example, for the slogan “ambulance”, “ambulance” will also be a good answer.
Thank you for the conversation! I mean the game!
Pass it on! is a great, neatly made board game. Thanks to it, you can spend time with family and friends. The gameplay is simple and dynamic. And probably what is most important: the game gives you a lot of fun. After the first five minutes, I was actually crying with laughter and had sore cheeks. I highly recommend! Especially now that we need a lot of laughter.
