Ryan Reynolds is diligently preparing with a ready script for the new installment of Deadpool’s adventures.
While he was rejecting rumors of Deadpool supposedly appearing in the upcoming Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness (2022) , Reynolds touched on the progress of the new Deadpool 3 movie by saying, “It’s coming”. Reynolds has been similarly imprecise in previous updates regarding the new movie. He then said about the status of the movie at the end of last year:
I’m disconnecting. I really can’t comment on that right now. However, I hope to come soon.
Marvel Studios / CCO Marvel CEO Kevin Feige also vouched for progress in Deadpool 3. Additionally, he said Reynolds was actively involved in its production.
The script is in progress and he [Reynolds] works very hard on it with our writers as we speak.
As for when this script is screened, Reynolds said last summer that there was a good chance the film would start shooting this year.
Percentage chance? I do not know. It is difficult for me to define the percentage. […] I would say maybe 50/50? We really actively develop it and bring it to the best possible implementation. What the hell is this month? August? Oh, next year? Very likely. I’d say 70%.

The title mutant mercenary played by Reynolds is currently the only character confirmed in Deadpool 3 , however actress Zazie Beetz has expressed interest in reprising the role of Dominio from Deadpool 2 as a member of X-Force.
I would like to play as Domino again. […] I’d like to play Deadpool 3, 4, 5, 7, 19. […] If possible, I’d just like to write my own origin story. I love it and therefore would be more than willing to play it again in front of the camera. I think if Disney doesn’t make it happen, I’ll do my best to convince them to do so.

Deadpool 3 does not have a confirmed director to date (Shawn Levy, with whom Reynolds worked on Free Guy , has the best chance) and an official release date at the time of writing, but it has been confirmed that Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin working for so far mainly with animated productions such as Bob’s Burgers , The Megan Mullally Show and The Great North .
