After numerous vicissitudes, Dead Island 2 is finally on the final straight for the premiere. To keep fans interested, Dead Island’s official YouTube channel has released yet another video trailer.
The Dead Island 2 opening came online in the run-up to the game’s release. Deep Silver’s sequel is one of those legendary upcoming games that has been ‘coming’ for years, even decades. The first part was not an outstanding game, but it was good enough to achieve satisfactory commercial results and make the continuation make sense. The decision was announced only a few years after the release of Dead Island , and gamers got excited by the fact that the new zombie game was supposed to take place in sunny Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the project went through a kind of ‘development hell’ and, in short, disappeared from the public eye while the developers were changed many times.
Now it is known that the game will finally be released and it has created a wave of positive hype. To boost the hype even more, a new video presentation of Dead Island 2 has been published . The film presents an anarchic, apocalyptic image of Los Angeles that goes hand in hand with nice graphics and an atmospheric soundtrack. If you’ve been with the series from the beginning, you can see the similarities to the old trailers that were made for the first Dead Island and the spin-off Riptide . One received, according to many, a sad trailer, in which you can see a family on vacation being chased and brutally killed by zombies. As it turned out, it didn’t quite reflect the true spirit of the game, but the trailer was still a good marketing ploy.
For now, we have to see how the final product will turn out. The announcements made so far for Dead Island 2 suggest that the game will be solid, but of course this is not a guarantee. Developers are undoubtedly under pressure to make the game satisfy the audience, especially since they have been waiting for it for a very long time. One has to hope that the long wait will translate positively into the quality of the title.
Dead Island 2 will be released on April 21, 2023.
