We finally got the first official video showing excerpts from a new take on the Batman movie.
The closing panel of the DC FanDome online event focused on the film The Batman directed by Matt Reeves ( War for the Planet of the Apes ). The main attraction was, of course, the first full-fledged production trailer.
This time, Robert Pattinson will play the title character. The cast also includes Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon), Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman), Colin Farrell (Penguin), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone) and Paul Duno (Riddler). Stylistically, the film is supposed to refer to crime noir.
The Batman will hit theaters on October 1, 2021.
