The title will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. The premiere is scheduled for 2021. This game will be distinguished from the Batman Arkham series by one very important thing – we will not play Batman in it. You can watch the trailer below.
In Gotham Knights, we will take control of four members of the family: Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood and Robin. From the trailer, it can be concluded that each of the Dark Knight’s allies will have their own special abilities and talents that will set them apart from the rest. Of course, they are all well trained in hand-to-hand combat, but some features will definitely affect the gameplay (eg Red Hood is not ashamed to use firearms). As with the games from Rocksteady, this time I will get Gotham as an open world to explore.
The main antagonists of the game will be the Court of Owls, which the developers have suggested in various teasers and announcements. The main task is to fight the armed arm of this organization, the Talons. The group itself in Batman mythology is quite fresh, because it debuted in comics during the so-called New 52.
For WB Games Montreal, this will not be the first contact with the world of Batman. While Rocksteady was responsible for most of the Arkham franchise , the Quebec developers also contributed to it. They created the third installment of the series, which is also a prequel to the whole, i.e. Btaman Arkham Origins .
