DC Comics announces 11 titles to be released this year

Upcoming titles were announced at the annual sellers-retailer meeting. The list includes, among others comic book about the 80th anniversary of Wonder Woman or Robin and Batman.

This year, the meeting organized by ComicsPRO (non-profit comic book sellers’ trade association) was held remotely, but this time the pandemic had a positive effect: there were several times more participants than usual. Apart from less popular brands, there was of course a giant such as DC. Nancy Spears, President of Sales and Revenue, announced the list of upcoming titles from this release. This year, you can expect comics such as:  Deathstroke Inc. , Harley Quinn Animated Series sequel [sequel to the animated series about Harley Quinn], A Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary title [related to the 80th anniversary of Wonder Woman], ElseworldDC Vampires (working title),  Robin and BatmanJoker: A Puzzle BoxThe Legend of Batman, Crush and Lobo, Nubia and the AmazonsDC Middle Ages.

One could expect the Wonder Woman anniversary series, as Superman and Batman have already received the same, but there are also quite surprising titles, which, however, indicate paying attention not only to high-profile characters, but also to building a new generation of heroes. While there is no guarantee that some of these comics will not turn out to be only one-offs, it is worth waiting with your opinions until they are released on the market and readers can judge their quality.

Details on each of these comics will be announced over time. But now Nancy Spears has announced that DC will be attending Free Comic Book Day on May 1 this year.
