Basically, at IATSE and elsewhere, employees receive a mandatory raise and vacation pay once a show reaches season 3. Social media users have discovered that at Disney and other studios , shows are often canceled or restarted before a third season. Online, critics say companies are essentially using this to not pay workers an increased rate and avoid other benefits. DeKnight saw the post and basically shook his head at the accusation, arguing that the current negotiations should get rid of these provisions altogether.
He commented on Twitter as follows:
He does. It’s an old Disney scam where they slightly rename a series to reset contract terms back to first season. Needs to be addressed by all the guilds/unions and crushed! https://t.co/Ttj4A3tnE4

On the IATSE STRIKE! account it has been shown that in popular Disney Channel comedy series this pattern appeared many times, such as in The Suite Life of Zach and Cody . Other users joined the discussion with high-profile examples. It may be similar in the case of Daredevil: Born Again .

Writers and actors are still on strike, which resulted in Disney deciding to delay many popular MCU series . Although The Marvels will still see the light of day in theaters in November. Likewise, Loki season two is currently scheduled to premiere in early October during primetime on Disney+. Most viewers thought they would be able to see productions from Marvel studios this year or next. However, it looks like they will have to wait a little longer. Daredevil: Born Again leads the waiting list. Echo – the series in which we can also see the character of Matt Murdock was supposed to hit Disney+ in the winter of 2023, but now it has also been postponed. At this rate, some of these projects won’t see the light of day until 2025 because there’s just too much stuff to release right now.
Adding to some fans’ frustrations are delays in the release of highly anticipated films such as Deadpool 3 and Captain America: Brave New World . It’s been a long time since productions with these superheroes appeared in cinemas. These films were in active production when the screenwriters and actors went on strike. Observers have noted that without a quick solution to these work stoppages, the chances of issuing them in both cases in 2024 are in great doubt. So there’s a lot to fix when studios return to discussion this week.
The original cast does not return for Daredevil: Born Again

Some familiar faces will return to the game in Daredevil: Born Again. But there are also many actors whom we will no longer see. Charlie Cox’s longtime stunt double, Chris Brewster, will not be present in the Disney+ reboot. In an episode of Ikuzo Unscripted, the stunt double talked about Marvel not listening to Cox’s request for his old stunt double to return. Brewster also argued that Disney was “ruining the character” based on Daredevil’s brief appearance in She-Hulk . So, many of the old guards from the Netflix era weren’t invited to return for Born Again , which is causing some concern among fans.
But ultimately, with Born Again, I had no doubt that they would contact me. Charlie clearly asks for everything from me and always goes out of his way to fight for me to be there. And he kept asking them to get me involved, but I didn’t even call. Ironically, no one who worked on seasons 1, 2 and 3 returned.
Brewster said
