During D23, Marvel Studios unveiled a new trailer for the series starring Samuel L. Jackson. Production promises to be very interesting.
In Secret Invasion , the action will focus on Nick Fury, who returns after years away from Earth. The purpose of his arrival is to stop the invasion of the Skrull shapeshifters. Together with his allies, the former SHIELD director must prevent the aliens from achieving their secret goal.
The presented material is distinguished by a rather specific atmosphere. The production almost resembles a thriller, and the music used in the trailer makes this impression even stronger. Uncertainty about who can be trusted and who is not, who is human and who is an alien brings to mind some associations with the Invasion of the Body Snatchers .
Samuel L. Jakcson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle and Martin Freeman, well-known from previous Marvel productions, will return in Secret Invasion . They will be joined by debuting in MCU Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Carmen Ejogo, Christopher McDonald, Dermot Mulroney and Killian Scott. Kyle Bradstreet is the series’ lead writer and executive producer. The film will be directed by Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim. The picture will consist of six episodes.
Secret Invasion will debut on Disney + next year.
