Netflix has released behind-the-scenes footage of the Cursed series !
All episodes of “Cursed” will be available on Netflix starting July 17!
“Cursed,” based on the New York Times bestseller novel , is a re-version of Arthurian legend from the perspective of Nimue, a young woman with mysterious abilities destined to become the mighty (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After the death of his mother, Nimue gains unexpected help from Arthur, a modest mercenary with whom he sets out on a mission to find Merlin and deliver him an ancient sword. During his journey, Nimue becomes a symbol of courage and rebellion against the fearsome Red Paladins and their king, Uther. “Cursed” is a coming- of- age storywhich deals with issues close to contemporary viewers, such as the destruction of the natural environment, religious terror, the nonsense of war and finding the courage to draw others to fight an insurmountable enemy.
The series stars Katherine Langford (Nimue), Devon Terrell (Arthur), Gustaf Skarsgård (Merlin), Daniel Sharman (The Weeping Monk), Sebastian Armesto (King Uther Pendragon), Matt Stokoe (Gawain), Lily Newmark (Pym), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Igraine), Emily Coates (Sister Iris), Billy Jenkins (Squirrel), Bella Dayne (Red Spear), Peter Mullan (Father Carden).
