Gotham is a crime city, that goes without saying. Due to the density of super villains per square meter, the metropolis also has many native superheroes. When unknown perpetrators steal experimental equipment, Batrodzinka follows them. As it turns out later, however, the most famous family fighting crime at night is not the only interested party.
What is Shredder looking for in Gotham?
Comic book lovers are already used to the fact that in the case of crossovers it usually happens that the city where a superhero resides, the greatest enemy of another hero comes. It was similar, for example, in Punisher / Batman: Deadly Knights or Batman / Judge Dredd: Judge of Gotham and Batman / Judge Dredd: The smile of death . So when Shredder arrives in Gotham, we know exactly who to expect!
Interestingly, Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles do not even know about their existence at first – New York is quite far away after all. As you may have guessed, this ignorance will contribute to one big misunderstanding related to the word “versus” in the title of the animation.

Since Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo are all equal guys – and as it turns out, quite well trained in martial arts – the heroes quickly decide to cooperate. After all, they have a common goal.
However, it is not easy, as the mutant turtles clearly lack discipline, which is especially evident when Batgirl appears next to it. Batman is definitely not used to insubordination, crazy and impulsive actions, and being guided by emotions.

Crossover plus easter egg?
Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a very simple yet charming scenario for fans. The villains steal individual components to build a machine with which Gotham will face a fall. Will they succeed? Will Gotham’s most famous loner be able to collaborate with teenage turtles? Of course, I will not reveal that. All I can say is that in one of the scenes the villains take a certain mutagenic drug, after which they turn into animals. It reminded me quite strongly of one of the episodes of Batman of the Future .

Cowabunga, pizza and family strength
Wojownicze Żółwie Ninja poza charakterystyczną bronią, kojarzą mi się przede wszystkim z pizzą i okrzykiem: „Cowabunga!”. Ku mojemu zachwytowi, oba te elementy zostały przez scenarzystów umieszczone w animacji. Alfred narzekający na to, że nastolatki zrezygnowały z możliwości wykwintnego posiłku na rzecz trywialnej pizzy to scena, której ewidentnie mi w życiu brakowało.
Batman kontra Żółwie Ninja opiera się głównie na sile rodziny, wzajemnym wsparciu, zaangażowaniu i determinacji. Kto wie, może po tym spotkaniu Bruce będzie podchodził do swoich podopiecznych nieco inaczej.

Podsumowanie
Polecam tę animację każdemu, niezależnie od tego, czy lubicie Batmana, Żółwie Ninja albo zupełnie innych superbohaterów. Przyzwoity scenariusz, ładna kreska i sceny walki składają się na spójną produkcję, która z pewnością umili długi jesienny wieczór. Mam tylko jedno malutkie „ale”, a raczej uwagę. Niektóre sceny są dość brutalne, więc raczej nie oglądałabym Batman kontra Wojownicze Żółwie Ninja w obecności najmłodszych.
