Controversial cooperation between CD Projekt Red and Mattel! Will we get dolls from “The Witcher”?

Logo należy do Firmy CD Projekt RED.

Mattel, the company behind Barbie dolls and films, has greatly expanded horizons over the past few years. Not only does it diversify the look of the dolls with different skin colors and body sizes, but also works with brands that are not necessarily related to children, such as a series of dolls created in the image of the Korean BTS team. This time, due to the great confusion surrounding the new part of The Witcher, CD Projekt Red and Mattel are planning to release their own dolls, of course for collectors.

Around the new Witcher , and more and more surprising information is appearing on the web. One of them is the plan to release new collectibles that the world of players has not yet seen.

Players will receive … dolls? We do not yet know the details of the products that will appear in connection with Mattel’s cooperation with CD Projekt Red. However, the official statement shows that there will most likely appear:

We wanted to give players something to enjoy while waiting for a new game. Working with Mattel will enable us to ease this period of uncertainty in which players are currently living. Soon, such a series of collector’s products that no one expected will be available for sale.

We also received some details about this collaboration in the announcement:

We can’t yet say exactly what the dolls will look like. These will not be typical Barbie toys with bendable handles, but rather detailed characters known from games and books. The quality will exceed many figures, and the heroes will come with outfits so that they can be changed. Yennefer’s silhouette will resemble a typical Barbie doll, and Geralt’s silhouette will resemble a typical Ken.

Hopefully, in addition to the dolls, Mattel will also release accessories to enrich the upcoming collection. According to official information, the pre-order is expected to start at the end of April, so new details about this surprising collaboration will surely come to light in the coming weeks.
