Are there any fans of Stanisław Lem’s works among you? If so, you probably remember that this year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the writer’s birth. On this occasion, we have a special competition for you.
Konkurs, nad którym patronuje m.in inicjatywa Rok Lema a także my, organizowany jest przez Prywatne Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Mieszka I w Lublinie. Jego głównym celem jest upamiętnienie 100-lecia urodzin Stanisława Lema, najbardziej znanego polskiego pisarza science fiction, autora Solaris, Astronautów, Bajek robotów i wielu innych słynnych powieści. Jeśli więc chcielibyście mieć w tym swój wkład, a przy okazji jesteście uczniami szkoły średniej, czytajcie dalej.
Competition task:
The task is to create a story about an alternative history of Poland based on the change of more or less significant historical facts about our country, in which any reference to the work or person of Stanisław Lem can be found, while respecting the author (characters from Lem’s novels, inventions, titles , etc.).
The form of the competition work:
- the work should be done in writing, in Polish,
- should meet the technical guidelines:
– text volume min. 5 A4 pages, max. 15 A4 pages,
– main text: Times New Roman font, size 12, – line
spacing 1.5,
– standard margins, –
work format : .doc, .docx, - the first page of the work on the title should contain the following information: name and surname of the author of the work, name of the school and possibly the name and surname of the guardian
- the guardian’s task is to check whether the competition entry is independent and to prevent the submission of a work that infringes the copyrights of third parties;
- works that do not meet the above-mentioned requirements may be disqualified without being assessed.

We cordially invite you to participate in the competition! Its decision will take place by December 30, 2021, all participants will receive diplomas, and the best works will be awarded with fantastic prizes.
