Sword Art Online is one of the biggest isekai series that has turned Riki Kawahara into a famous creator over the years. After all, it was he who revived Kirito and Asuna in 2009. Now a new report from Japan has confirmed that Kawahara is ready to start the next series of novels!
The message comes directly from Kadokawa . The publisher has confirmed that it is preparing to launch a new series from Kawahara. According to the advertisement, a novel is being written behind the scenes. Demons’ Crest , focusing on something like a lethal VR game. Kawahara will write the story and Yukiko Horiguchi will take care of the artistic side.
As for how the series will go, Kadokawa just mentioned that the light novel would follow in the footsteps of a group of teenagers testing out a new VR game. When the crew tries to log out, they will discover that the gameplay has merged with reality. Sword Art Online fans will love this concept.
The first volume of Demons’ Crest is set to debut in Japan on November 10.
