The ninth part of the story about a little Indian who always helps his animal friends.
Yakari, Rainbow and Little Lightning go on a trip. When they reach the picturesque peninsula, they are surprised by a long downpour followed by a flood. Trapped on a small patch of dry land, the heroes do not know how to return home … Then they meet a family of nice animals running away from a bloodthirsty enemy. Three friends decide to help them and fight the insidious enemy. Can Yakari and his companions defeat the merciless stalker and then safely return to the village?
The series was created in the late 1960s by two Swiss – screenwriter Job (André Jobin) and cartoonist Derib (Claude de Ribaupierre). For volumes 6 and 31 of Yakari (in 1982 and 2006 respectively) they received awards at the Angoulême Comic Book Festival in various categories of children’s comics. To date, almost forty albums have been released of the series, which still entertains younger and older readers.
