“Batman – Sect” is a controversial story about the Dark Knight created in 1988 by Jim Starlin (screenplay) and horror master Bernie Wrightson (drawings). Batman faces the charismatic Deacon Blackfire, a mysterious figure who traveled the world before the founding of Gotham. Blackfire has successfully cleared the city of petty criminals with the help of an army of homeless people … but what is his hidden agenda? When Blackfire manages to break Batman, the Masked Crusader becomes vulnerable to the influence of a mysterious stranger from nowhere. The confused and frightened hero must uncover the terrifying truth and end the rule of the sinister cult leader!
