Collective edition of three long stories from the world of “Top 10”, comic book hit by famous screenwriter Alan Moore! The album includes the stories: “In 1949”, “Smax” and “Beyond the Farthest Police Station”, which are great supplementary reading for fans of the main series released by Egmont in its entirety in 2017. Shortly after World War II, Neopolis was created in the United States, a city of the new times, where superheroes and war veterans were displaced, as well as super-villains and crazy Nazi scientists who had gone over to the Allied side. This bold social experiment triggered many conflicts that threatened the survival of the metropolis in the shape devised by its founders. In the volume “Top 10 – Smax and other stories” we will meet the first generation of settlers, including super policemen from the police station, which in the future will become known as the Tenth Commissariat. Then, together with the two heroes of the main series, blue-skinned Jeff and gentle Robyn, we will travel to one of the distant worlds, where conditions resemble cult fantasy stories. At the end, together with the team of the Tenth Police Station, we will experience an apocalyptic adventure initiated by the appearance of a huge specter in the sky …
The main scriptwriter of the stories in this album is the British creator Alan Moore, over twenty (!) Eisner Prize winner, author of such bestsellers as “The Watchmen”, “Promethea”, “V for vendetta”, “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”, “Straight from Hell” , “Marvelman”. The drawings are the work of various artists, including Gene Ha, four-time Eisner Award winner for “Top Ten” and “Justice League”, also known for such titles as “Global Band” and “Green Lantern”.
