DC and Warner Bros. they also showed up in San Diego. During the joint panel, they showed, among others the first trailer for the sequel to “Shazam!”.
In the presented trailer, we can see Billy doubting his superhero abilities. The protagonist believes that his siblings are doing much better than he is. Plus, we also have a glimpse of Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren’s debut at DCEU and the return of Djimon Hounsou.
According to previous interviews, incl. with Asher Angel we know that Shazam! The Wrath of the Gods will be set a few years after the first part. As Billy enters adulthood, he is not sure if he will not have to leave his foster family when he turns eighteen. Due to the uncertainty about his own future, the protagonist has problems in fulfilling his duties as a hero.
In addition to the previously mentioned Asher Angel, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren and Djimon Hounsou, the film also features Zachary Levi, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, DJ Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey Mary Bromfield, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Milans and Cooper Andrews. The picture, like the first part, is directed by David F. Sandberg.
The production is set to debut on December 21 this year.
