Viewers gathered in Hall H not only could see the cast of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves , but also saw the first fragments of the production. The trailer gave a little closer to the plot and who the main characters of the picture are. Special effects and several creatures well known to D&D fans were also presented.
Shortly after the trailer was released, Paramount also released an official description of the film. The main characters will be a group of adventurers led by a charismatic thief. Together, they set off on a journey to steal a lost relic. During their expedition, the protagonists get in the way of dangerous people who will try to prevent them from completing their mission. The production is to be a fantasy adventure full of action and comedy.
The film features Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Rege-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, Justice Smith and Hugh Grant. The characters included in the party, as in the case of the game, will represent different classes. Among them there will be a bard (Chris Pine), a barbarian (Michelle Rodriguez), a paladin (Rege-Jean Page), a druid (Sophia Lillis) and a sorcerer (Justice Smith). The film is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to hit theaters in March next year.
