Cobie Smulders will join the cast of Secret Invasion. The actress will re-play agent Maria Hill.
The cast of Secret Invasion has gained a new member. Cobie Smulders (known from How I Met Your Mother, among others ) as Maria Hill will join Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Ben Mendelsohn (Talos), Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke in the new Marvel series.
The production will focus on Nick Fury and Talos (best known to Captain Marvel viewers ), who will try to stop a group of Skruls infiltrating Earth for years. We already know that Maria Hill will join them. The agent previously appeared as Fury’s bodyguard in all Avengers , in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and in Spider-Man: Far From Home .
Secret Invasion will be directed by Thomas Bezucha and Alim Selim. Written by Kyle Bradstreet, the series is set to appear next year, but a release date is yet to be announced.
