For the animation Shaun the Lamb. Farmageddon was especially waiting for those who followed the fate of the lamb in the popular TV series. The adventures of animals presented in the film are the funniest part of the production. And those that focus on the human cause already deal with quite different questions. However, we can distinguish a common point: an alien! On the flyer inviting you to watch the animation, there is a funny rhyme that briefly summarizes the story of Shaun and his friends:

Even when you are a lamb

And your buddy is a sheep

Be ready when sometime in the morning

An alien will come from outer space.

Hide your sharp horns.

Helpful give a last

A being that seeks its path,

Especially when she’s an alien!

The animal world

Shaun the lamb was created by artist Nick Park. We see this character for the first time in the movie Wallace and Gromit. Sheep shaving(1995). In 2006, an animated series entirely devoted to Shaun was produced, which was broadcast on the channels of Cartoon Network, TVP 1, ZigZAP, MiniMini and Puls 2. The series consisted of 150 episodes, each of them lasting 7 minutes. The first full-length film about the lamb was made in 2015. In addition, seven DVDs about the adventures of the title character and his friends have been released in Poland. The action of the latest Franco-American-British production takes place in a small town. Shauna the sheep farm is ruled by a sheriff dog. This year, at least three fairy tales discussed the issues of the supernatural, spaceships and the heroes traveling in them. Shaun the sheep. Farmageddonis an animation that has also been enriched with this thread. The aforementioned Lu-La arrives to Earth by accident. The being is lucky to meet Shaun on its way, who does not leave the alien without help. It is worth noting that the directors decided to deprive not only of the efflorescence, but also all the characters. So the viewers receive a movie in which the characters do not speak but make strange sounds. This form of storytelling is interesting, but some older audiences may be frustrated by this kind of silent communication. However, it does not prevent the plot from being understood. In addition, the youngest ones can be easily amused by the way sheep laugh – their teeth look as if they are sticking out of the cheek.

About the pros and cons

The plot of the story is not revealing, but it is a coherent concept of the director and the screenwriter. The heroes will easily amuse the viewers with their adventures. The animation is properly prepared and executed, the transitions are smooth and pleasing to the eye. I rate the visual setting as four with a plus, because the characters (actually human ones) are characterized by some drawbacks of beauty. A colorful and fun rhythm story is added with the appropriate soundtrack!
