The Lightyear animation from Disney and Pixar is a Toy Story spin-off telling the story of an astronaut in whose honor a famous toy was created: an interactive, talking cosmonaut Buzz Lightyear figure, exactly as young Andy had.
It will be a science fiction adventure full of action. We will see how the young pilot Buzz (played by Chris Evans) becomes a Space Ranger.
The animation is directed by Angus MacLane, the writer is Pete Docter, and the producers include Galyn Susman.
In addition to the original Toy Story, the astronaut’s adventures could also be seen in the 2000-2001 Buzz Lass Astral series from Starbase . Apparently, John Lasseter and the Pixar team are not fully satisfied with him, so he is not currently on the Diseny + platform. Instead, they put their hope in a new full-length film.

The world premiere of the Lightyear animation is scheduled for June 17, 2022.
